Teaching Education and History:
Holly's background lies in elementary and outdoor education, with most of her time spent in small K-8 schools. She graduated with a B.A. in History from the University of California at Berkeley and earned her teaching credential from San Francisco State University. She began her career in education as a naturalist, coach, and adventure trip leader, which eventually led her into teaching Spanish and then a 4th/5th grade class for five years at a Montessori based school in Mill Valley, CA. Pursuing her love for the mountains, she worked at Lake Tahoe School as the 5th grade teacher for 12 years. Most recently, she taught Kindergarten - 5th grade PE, along with reading instruction, at West Marin-Inverness School. Holly loves being part of the Donner Trail community.
Teaching Passion:
Her passion is to inspire students to develop a love for the outdoors, an appreciation for healthy habits, and the desire to be lifelong learners.
Outside Interests:
Hiking, backpacking, skiing, tennis, paddle boarding, cooking, reading, traveling, and family.
If she could have a super power, it would be:
To consistently grow wiser, yet younger, every day!

She lives with her husband and daughter in Truckee with their two dogs, Scout and Ozzy.
